I installed this unit into my 2006 Nissan Armada back at the end of march and I hadn’t gotten around to review it. I have to say I’m very pleased with the value and functionality of the unit. I was able to integrate the steering wheel controls with the unit and the Bose sound system so those were two huge pluses I do have one small gripe with it though and that is that the Apple car play does some times give me a hard time to connect it either wireless or hard wired and I wind up resetting the unit then it works. I have not really dedicated time to resolving the issue as it doesn’t happen often enough for me to actually dedicate the time to it but I’m pretty sure it’s just a software issue. I would also like to say that the tech support for Eonon is pretty good I’ve sent them questions and they usually have a less than 24 hours turn around response time.This was easy to install.It does have a ton of options to add numerous accessories to it.The initial first time boot of this thing takes forever it seems, maybe three to five minutes. This boot time only happens when the radio loses connection to the battery.Every boot after the initial boot takes far less time, maybe a few seconds.The touch screen is very responsive and quick. I haven't had any issues there.The buttons and volume dial work greatly.The only issue I noticed with the radio is while turning the volume up and down until the volume display itself disappears you can't use the radio. So say I want to turn the volume down and switch stations.. it would be quicker for me to switch stations first, because if I turn the volume down I have to wait for the volume slider menu to disappear before I could do anything else.I use an external sd card to play songs from. It takes about ten to twenty seconds to load the songs from the sd card. The sd card has over thirty thousand songs so I guess this is fairly good load time.I have noticed a flaw with using the bluetooth. This flaw is why I chose to load songs up from an sd card. The bluetooth when the radio shuts off and turns back on will not auto play music from the device it was connected to. You have to manually close out the bluetooth player and then reload it for it to play the music. Frustrating to do this everytime, so I just added an sd card with music.I downloaded an android app called Folder Player to play the music from an sd card and it hasn't given me any issues so far.The WiFi, GPS, and mic devices are made very cheaply. Neither the GPS nor the WiFi glue backing held in direct sunlight, so I bought some epoxy to place them. The WiFi doesn't work well tucked in the dash so I had to mount it to my car's a-pillar to get good signal. I did the same for the GPS, but rarely use the GPS. The mic is so cheaply made that I plan on doing away with it completely and finding something else. I mounted the mic on the driver's side a-pillar and the heat from the sun warped and melted the plastic mounting clip that came with the mic. The foam around the mic itself has disappeared I'm guessing from the wind. Even how the mic hooks into the stereo it is easy to pull them apart each time I remove the stereo. Very poor design on the mic and wifi.The radio's antenna reception is lacking compared to what the stock radio had. I still have the same antenna if you are wondering and everything is connected properly. Some of the stations I love listening to have more static the from my stock radio, which makes no sense.I haven't tried the Torque device yet, so I can't give a review of it.I have hooked up the Xroose 3.0 rear camera to this radio unit and it was very much plug and play. Really easy and fast to install. I'm very pleased with the combination of the two working seamlessly together.I have to be fair with my experience. I have an older eonon radio (G2110F) That I still have installed in my other vehicle. It still works good other than a few quirks here and there that you'd expect from a Chinese built radio. Any way onto my experience. A few days after installation it stopped making sound. I made sure everything was correct. Updated the firmware as the seller requested. Which by the way, they were quick to get back to me with responses. And I get it, sometimes things happen and things fail. In my back and forth with the seller they offered me a newer version but could not just exchange the unit I had. They offered to take it back to see if they could repair it but that would take a while. So I just bought another one and returned the first unit back to Amazon for a refund. The second unit seems to be working fine. I haven't had it that long a week or two maybe. So the Radio, Yeah I like it. The advantages of a full Android radio vs an Android Auto radio are huge. It's not without bugs... But it's worth it to me to have the full Android. Bottom line. It's worth the money.Ok, I have bought two of these. One I had to return and just get a credit for through Amazon because the sound stop working. The second I installed December of last year. Now the hark keys have stopped working. The buttons are one of the primary reason I bought this unit. I have not done a hard reset yet but if I do I will lose all my information including my offline maps app which took hours download all the maps. UPDATE: I really wanted this head unit to work out. But it's been nothing but trouble from the start. I've had to install 3 of these units. First the sound stopped working shortly after install. Second one the keys stopped working. Third one just randomly don't power up when I start the car. I have to disconnect the battery let it set 5 minutes and then it will work for a while again. VERY ANNOYING.....!!! but at least it comes back on. I'm going to have to replace it at some point. I get it that these Full Android units have bugs... And it's worth it to me to have the full android option of downloading and using whatever app i app I want. very handy for sure. But My experience with this particular Eonon unit is just not good at all. Buy a different one.This was a huge upgrade from the factory radio with limited functionality in my fathers motorhome! The ability for my father to navigate the radio without a major learning curve and have GPS is huge. It always worried me if he was trying to fumble with his phone driving down the road with a such a large vehicle.Pros:Sounds way better than the factory unit.Its android, most android apps install and work out of box.Ability to install and update applications that do not rely on your phone to operate.Cons:GPS signal is hit and miss, firmware update corrected a good deal of issues but still will drop randomly.Build quality is pretty low. Do not expect to last the life of the vehicle. Probably have to replace it within two years.Constantly pulls power and will drain battery over time.I did have to reach out to support due to a software issue with the unit but I got a quick reply.I bought this radio to replace my older Android 4.4.4 radio which was getting slow. This new unit feature the latest Android, sufficient RAM to run smoothly while having good storage for your apps so you can focus your external storage for your maps and music. All the connectors and wiring were in the package and the installation was as expected for my vehicle.So I quickly installed 128Gb SD card into the GPS slot (not officially supported but yes formatted FAT32, the radio will accept and all apps work fine except for the stock file manager but the market is there to offer plenty of options hence the beauty of an Android radio, I digress). With that in, I could install my favorite GPS apps and load all the offline map I needed. Enough space left for using 64gb of loop video with the USB Camera (I got the one Eonon offer), for me it is set to record the rear as I already had one for the front. And that still left plenty of space for recording my log on Torque which the Radio linked easily to my Bluetooth OBD.Then I added my favorite music app and loaded music on a 128Gb on a usb stick (same FAT 32 format). Giving me tons of music for the road using the music app of my choice.Essentially although the interface is nice and smooth, I prefer a launcher that focus on my 3 main usage of the radio; Music, GPS, and Car monitoring while still having access to other apps. That was easily done also as the unit allow to change default launcher.All in all the unit is very fast, image is crisp and the touchscreen responsive. With the 32Gb of memory I could load many useful app for GPS test, wifi, car code checks, scanner, etc. And they all worked fine.I recommend.I've bought and installed a number of Radios , this is by far the best I have ever worked with. Seller even included a plastic installation tool to remove plastic from the dash . Impressed right from the moment I Unpacked it you can see the attention to detail in every part of this product right down to the black box it comes in . The Fast boot is incredible, enjoyable and convenient. Seller's customer service was 10/10 . If you like Double din radios with out the big price tag this is the best value for your moneyI am a Marine Electrician for over 20+ years and you have to be clairvoyant in Chinese to install it. Worthless! don't even try it .The 7 inch screen was a perfect fit for my 2000 Honda civic ex. The screen is responsive and the Android auto function works perfectly! To use Android auto you need to buy a dongle. Overall I'm very happy with the purchase.Worth the money, awesome radio, my fiance loves it
